brooks pendleton patterson

he's finally here!! brooks made his entrance into the world on friday, may 31, 2013 at 6:56 pm. the boy was 4 days late and i had to be induced (water broken). my other 2 were a week early, so being "late" just threw me for a loop. i "love" my ob/gyn's comment when i asked what is up with this lateness - "oh don't worry, you won't be pregnant forever". spoken like a true man! so, after breaking my water early in the morning, finally getting pitocin at 3 (no progress), i got to a 10 and pushed for about 15 minutes and our 3rd precious blessing arrived. rhett and i couldn't contain ourselves we were so excited! we checked him out from head to toe and got alot of loving in before the family came to meet him. rhett went to get the 2 best big brothers in the world to meet him and it was one of the most priceless moments of our lives. these 2 big brothers were SO excited to meet brooks - they talked so quietly to him and had grins from ear to ear. then, they saw the presents that brooks gave them, and that was it - brooks was old news and the presents got all the attention. the big boys went home with nanny & grandad while we were in the hospital for 2 days. they came and visited and then had a huge sign waiting for brooks when we got home. our good friends tim & kara came to meet brooks his first day home as well. the boys just LOVE their new baby brother: love holding him, singing to him, helping mommy bathe him - just everything. love having one more boy in our house! 

end of the school year

can't believe it is already the end of the school year - this year has flown by - except for those long, sleepless nights 9 months pregnant. at the end of the year, the boys had fun activities at school - and the ONLY pic i got was this:

brooks is supposed to be here on may 27th: the last week of school, last week of soccer, soccer awards - just about everything happens this week. but, he decides he is just right where he is - not coming out anytime soon. 

Maternity/Family Pics

We wanted to get some family pics before our 3rd little man arrived - and boy did we have fun in the bluebonnets! The boys did great and the pics came out fab!! They even look like they love each other - they really do, but sometimes I question it with all the arguing. Brotherly love, I guess! Can't wait to meet our new little man, Brooks at the end of the month! 

court's 5th birthday

how can court be 5 already! time has FLOWN by and we are so proud of our big boy! he insisted on having a birthday party at chuck e cheese even though mommy tried really hard to convince him to do something different. but, we really had a great time and it was a very easy party. court's birthday fell on Easter weekend this year, so we enjoyed having the James family with us all weekend, along with nanny & grandad, mimi & pops, and the grimes clan.

 we also enjoyed trying out legoland at grapevine mills. so much fun stuff here as well - 3D movie, driving police cars, building with legos, play land, etc

fort worth stock show & rodeo/valentine's day

the boys got all "cowboyed" up for their annual trip to the fort worth stock show and rodeo. they always have a great time with pops, uncle jon, and cade. they came home smelling "like money" as court likes to say. i only got a pic of beckham in his hat & boots right before they left. as soon as he got in the car, he decided that he wanted to be comfortable and wear tennis shoes and no hat! 

they boys also got to dress up for rodeo day at school. they were SO excited to wear their hats, vest, and boots to school. SO HANDSOME!

family game night - we always have so much fun! and i think the boys and i beat daddy a couple of times!

 2013 was one of the BEST valentine's days EVER!!! the boys sent me out to get pampered with a lovely pedicure and when i came home, this is what i found. 3 dressed up handsome waiters. they made me dinner and wore ties w/aprons and brought me all of my yummy food! court was SO excited to clean up any spills with his towel (so of course i had a spill at the table). cutest boys ever and they LOVED serving - i told rhett this would need to be an annual tradition!! way to go babe!!

christmas 2012

christmas time is always a whirlwind of activities, traditions, spending time remembering the reason we celebrate christmas, and family time. this year was no different. these pics are in random order but highlight some of our favorite things we did this year. mr elf made his annual visit and brought us all breakfast to start "elf on the shelf". he got into so "trouble" this year hiding in the christmas tree & getting into the boys' underwear drawer just to name a few. 

we also got to watch court and his class in a great christmas program at school. court did so great singing songs about jesus and dressing up as a cute little angel.

 we always have fun at the colleyville christmas holly colly. cade, tay, and aunt missy joined us this year and we bounced in bounce houses, rode ponies, did crafts, decorated cookies, saw santa, rode on a carraige ride and just had a great time!

 saw grapevine's christmas parade with nanny & grandad and it was so much fun!!

 this was the 1st year we had christmas morning just the 4 of us and it was so great to witness the excitement of christmas morning on these two little boys faces. after opening all of our presents, we headed over to mimi & pops to celebrate christmas with the grimes' clan and had even more fun!

 we also got to spend time at the gaylord with nanny, grandad, mimi, & pops. we got to explore all of the great chritmas decorations, see ICE, and court & rhett rodes the tubes (beckham had an arm injury & didn't want to ride) but he was better after a little hot chocolate & a snack. 

christmas seems to come and go so quickly each year, but we love seeing this time of year through the eyes of two sweet little boys. celebrating jesus' birthday is the best part of it all!
