Happy 3rd Birthday Beckham!

what a fun day celebrating our "little man". i can't believe beckham is already 3. we celebrated with lots of friends and family at one of his favorite places - the fire station. we got a tour of the station and the fire trucks and then celebrated with lunch, cupcakes, and presents.

tour of the station and trucks - so much to see!

our attempt at a group pic
when we started singing to beckham, he started singing along with us, and then he just stopped and listened - sweet boy!

yum!

present time!

on beckham's actual birthday, we started the day with balloons, donuts, candles, and more presents. yep - trains! this boy LOVES trains!

we went to visit the trains at northpark and beckham is STILL talking about them. we are going back before the exhibit leaves for sure!
about every 2 minutes, this precious boy would say - oh, i just LOVE trains! he could have stayed here ALL day!

this year has flown by! beckham started preschool 2 days a week and now loves going to school with big brother. he is a great helper, so kind and sweet. he gives the best kisses and hugs, and loves to be held and rocked still. he still loves to suck on his 2 favorite fingers and sleeps great in his big boy bed. he is all boy, VERY independent, and has his own way of doing things - his way or no way! :) we love you so very much beckham and are so thankful to God for you!

fall 2012

Beckham started "school" this year. he was so excited to go to school with big brother, until he realized mommy wasn't staying. let's just say it took about 2 months for him to get the hang of that. but, he LOVES his teachers and his friends and has SO much fun at school.

1st day of school pics

we also took our annual trip to the state fair with pops. the boys had SO much fun riding rides, acting like farmers, eating corn dogs, playing games, riding the merry go round. boy - that can wipe you out though! we all slept good that afternoon. we loved spending the day with aunt missy, cade, and tay as well!

flower mound has a great pumpkin patch that we love to visit every fall. we spent the day checking out pumpkins, going through hay mazes, riding a hay ride, eating snow cones, and playing in the many bounce houses.

we also had fun at a pumpkin patch close to mimi & pops with the whole grimes' side of the family. i just think this pumpkin patch is so cute because it has cute antique lights at night. they also have lots of fun kid activities and a corn maze that court and rhett went thru. the hay ride is always fun because you get to stop and feed the donkeys and the cows and the boys just love that the cows lick them with their giant tongues!

stay tuned for more blog catching up!!! :)

summer is over!

i have been terrible at updating our blog! life is just busy - and full of fun! we've had a great summer. the boys both took swimming lessons at the beginning of the summer. let's just say the 1st week with beckham was not so much fun - but by the second week he loved it!! we just needed a few milkshakes to help get us motivated!! we also enjoyed 4 days at the beach with the lockett family! what a fun time we had! the kiddos got along great and loved building sand castles, flying kites,  and jumping over the waves (i think that was court's favorite part). we sure had fun spending time with this sweet family. on the way home from the beach, we spent a day at the NASA space museum and the boys loved it!
the boys also both took a class at winkids gym this summer. court took a sportsters class where he got to play soccer, football, and baseball - it was right up his alley! beckham took a gymnastics class where he got to jump, roll, run, swing, and just have fun! the boys were both sad this week when their summer class ended! we also enjoyed many pool days, movies, swimming at the CAC, playing with friends, swimming @ mimi & pops, and hitting up birthday parties! whew - summer went by fast! we are looking forward to starting school (2 days a week) after a trip to see nanny and grandad next week.
