2 months is TOO fun!

i am trying my best to get ahead of the game and post on time about my precious 2nd son. but, we are just having 2 much fun being 2 months old! here are a few of my favorite things about 2 month old beckham:

• his smile can light up the ENTIRE house! he was born with a precious dimple on his right cheek, and now he has one on his left cheek too! girls..... eat your heart out!
• beckham is really starting to talk now. he'll just carry on an entire conversation. it's really fun while he's trying to nurse because all he wants to do is smile and coo at me. i could do it all day, but we'd REALLY not get anything done. i don't remember court doing this so early, but maybe he did. :)
• he is such a strong little boy. he is holding his head up great and will just hold onto your finger forever
• he loves watching court... i love seeing him follow court when he's walking around
• he is falling asleep by himself for the most part and taking great naps!! 
• he still likes to eat/snuggle 2 times in the night which is ok by me cuz i know it won't last forever. :)
• he weighs 12.4 lbs (as of a week ago) and is 23 in. long! he grew 3 inches in 6 weeks! no wonder he can't wear 0-3 mnth clothes anymore. onto the 3-6 month tub!
• i just love this little man to pieces and i LOVE having 2 boys!

our friend jackson

please be in prayer for this amazing family. jackson, who is a vibrant and energetic 2 year old, will be having a bone marrow transplant this spring to try to cure him from a rare, rare, immune disease (NEMO) that only affects 13 other little boys in the world. we love this family so, so, so, much. we got to know them in our sunday school class at IBC about 4 years ago and became fast friends. we are so thankful for their friendship and will miss them terribly when they go to colorado for the transplant. we will be SO excited when they return with a healthy boy! doug is a mechanic and will be taking time off from work to be with the family in colorado, and they will reach their insurance max pretty soon with the transplant. melissa is such a strong mommy and is holding this family together during this scary time. i admire how she is handling all of this and giving all of the glory to GOD. 

jackson was born with a rare genetic immune deficiency- Hypohydrotic Ectodermal Dysplasia with immune-deficiency NEMO. the only hope for a cure for the immune deficiency is a bone marrow transplant which Jackson will be undergoing in the spring in Denver, Colorado. the family has turned to Children's Organ Transplant Association(COTA) to help raise funds. not only will there be medical expenses, but travel and living expenses as well. a tax-deductible donation can be given to the family by visiting their website. if you go to their caring bridge site, you can get more info about the fundraising efforts and to see this precious little boy.

guess who is 1 month old already?!?!?

guess what everybody?!?! i'm 1 month old! i am loving life with my big brother court. i'm looking at him in this picture - that's why my mom can't get one of me looking at her. i think my brother is the best thing ever! i am growing so fast and eating ALOT these days. i sleep really good at night and sometimes during the day. there is just too much going on during the day and i think i need to stay awake for all of it! my mom is working on that with me. :) we'll see who wins. i'm pretty sure i've got my mom wrapped around my finger. she LOVES to hold me and snuggle and i would let her all day if i could! my brother loves to help change my diapers and stick the pacifier in my mouth. he loves to kiss me and pat my back. my daddy can't wait to get home to play with me and court. he loves to sing to me and i think he's really good at it. well, enough for now. i've got to get ready to meet santa this year. i've been really good this whole 1st month of life so i think i might get some good presents.
