court's 5th birthday

how can court be 5 already! time has FLOWN by and we are so proud of our big boy! he insisted on having a birthday party at chuck e cheese even though mommy tried really hard to convince him to do something different. but, we really had a great time and it was a very easy party. court's birthday fell on Easter weekend this year, so we enjoyed having the James family with us all weekend, along with nanny & grandad, mimi & pops, and the grimes clan.

 for court's actual birthday, he wanted to go to the new perot museum in dallas. we love this place!

 we also enjoyed trying out legoland at grapevine mills. so much fun stuff here as well - 3D movie, driving police cars, building with legos, play land, etc

fort worth stock show & rodeo/valentine's day

the boys got all "cowboyed" up for their annual trip to the fort worth stock show and rodeo. they always have a great time with pops, uncle jon, and cade. they came home smelling "like money" as court likes to say. i only got a pic of beckham in his hat & boots right before they left. as soon as he got in the car, he decided that he wanted to be comfortable and wear tennis shoes and no hat! 

they boys also got to dress up for rodeo day at school. they were SO excited to wear their hats, vest, and boots to school. SO HANDSOME!

family game night - we always have so much fun! and i think the boys and i beat daddy a couple of times!

 2013 was one of the BEST valentine's days EVER!!! the boys sent me out to get pampered with a lovely pedicure and when i came home, this is what i found. 3 dressed up handsome waiters. they made me dinner and wore ties w/aprons and brought me all of my yummy food! court was SO excited to clean up any spills with his towel (so of course i had a spill at the table). cutest boys ever and they LOVED serving - i told rhett this would need to be an annual tradition!! way to go babe!!

christmas 2012

christmas time is always a whirlwind of activities, traditions, spending time remembering the reason we celebrate christmas, and family time. this year was no different. these pics are in random order but highlight some of our favorite things we did this year. mr elf made his annual visit and brought us all breakfast to start "elf on the shelf". he got into so "trouble" this year hiding in the christmas tree & getting into the boys' underwear drawer just to name a few. 

we also got to watch court and his class in a great christmas program at school. court did so great singing songs about jesus and dressing up as a cute little angel.

 we always have fun at the colleyville christmas holly colly. cade, tay, and aunt missy joined us this year and we bounced in bounce houses, rode ponies, did crafts, decorated cookies, saw santa, rode on a carraige ride and just had a great time!

 saw grapevine's christmas parade with nanny & grandad and it was so much fun!!

 this was the 1st year we had christmas morning just the 4 of us and it was so great to witness the excitement of christmas morning on these two little boys faces. after opening all of our presents, we headed over to mimi & pops to celebrate christmas with the grimes' clan and had even more fun!

 we also got to spend time at the gaylord with nanny, grandad, mimi, & pops. we got to explore all of the great chritmas decorations, see ICE, and court & rhett rodes the tubes (beckham had an arm injury & didn't want to ride) but he was better after a little hot chocolate & a snack. 

christmas seems to come and go so quickly each year, but we love seeing this time of year through the eyes of two sweet little boys. celebrating jesus' birthday is the best part of it all!

thanksgiving 2012

thanksgiving started off with the grimes' clan after celebrating beckham's 3rd birthday. beckham discovered a love for cool whip (he is definately my child) and helped us cook. apparently he was the only one i took pictures of because these 2 are all i have! we are always so thankful to spend time with our family - it's a wild and crazy time with 4 under 5 (and soon to be 1 more) but we love every minute of our extended family time!

we then headed to groom because it was our year to spend thanksgiving with the patterson clan. the james family was there as well so we had tons of fun with the cousins: hadley, ryan, and reese. we played outside most of the time and wore them out good!!
