Pumpkin Patch 2009

here are some pics from our trip to the flower mound pumpkin patch this year. i love being so close! :) it was a chilly day, and it was the 1st sunny day in about 2 weeks, so there was MUD everywhere. i think we lasted about 1 hour before the meltdown began. we didn't even get a group pic with our MOPS group! maybe next year. rhett ended up taking court back the very next day so they could get a pumpkin and ride the hay ride - 2 things we didn't get to do when we were there. :) mimi went with us which was such a help since i was waddling along everywhere. next year, i think we will plan on a day when rhett can take off since we will have 2 wild boys! :)

our new nephew!

here is our new precious nephew: REESE JACKSON JAMES. he was born on wednesday, september 23 at 12:30 pm. he weighed 8 lbs, 10 oz. and was 21 in. long! i think he looks like his big brother ryan. i don't know why these pics are so small. maybe because i hijacked them off of facebook?!?!!? :) we can't wait to meet this little guy and squeeze those cheeks! :)

this boy loves to be outside!!

court LOVES to be outside. if i even mention the word, oUtSiDe, there is DrAmA until we actually make it out the door. so, last week, when we had some great cool weather, we spent alot of time outdoors. we headed to the park to feed the ducks. court loves the ducks but they get a little too close for comfort, so he sticks close to DAD.

this boy can do some serious sliding. luckily he can get to the top by himself and i just have to catch him at the bottom. this comes in handy being 8 months pregnant. 

he also loves to swing....

here we are playing in the backyard and he is "counting" with mimi. mimi was bouncing up and down while counting, so now court thinks that is how you have to do it every time you count. rhett was so confused the first time he saw court "bouncing" and counting. once he sees you do something, he remembers! smart boy!! he'll fit in great at A&M!!! :)

rhett and i got to run away to another country for a pre-2nd baby boy babymoon last week! it was heaven just to be able to spend 5 uninterrupted days with my wonderful hubby. we actually got to have complete conversations without being interrupted! 5 days without a poopy diaper, no cooking, and no cleaning was just what i needed!! :) we did miss court like CRAZY though! he got sick as soon as we left with a high fever, but mimi and pops took great care of him. i think they are in need of a vacation after 5 days with our little tornado. :)  we could not wait to see court when we came home on monday and i've been catching up on all of his sugars and snuggles in between chasing him around. what's up with this rain? we need to be outside!! :)

this was at the airport the day we left. we left out of the same terminal where all of the troops come off the plane. we started hearing all of this applause at 8:30 AM and once we found it, we both got chills. the whole terminal stops what they are doing and applauds all of the troops coming off the plane. it was amazing!!!

the atlantis resort has a ton of aquariums, lagoons, and animal habitats. so, we had fun exploring the day it rained.

1st chocolate popsicle

these pics were taken back in june, but i don't think i posted them. court LOVES chocolate popsicles apparently. he wanted more, more, more! it is still hot enough for pool days. maybe one of these days, we'll make it over to mimi & pop's to swim before fall!

update: 

sorry - no pics were taken. our fancy expensive camera is having flash issues. i HAVE to get that fixed before baby boy arrives in november!!! someone keep reminding me PLEASE!!!

but, we had a fabulous time with tallen. court tried to show him EVERY toy he had. court went to sleep, then tallen ate and konked right out. he woke up right when mommy and daddy arrived to pick him up. i think he "sensed" his momma was coming!! can't wait to do it again. 

tomorrow rhett and i will be doing a practice run of having another baby in the house along with the court man. we are babysitting our good friend's son, tallen who is almost 3 months old. it should be a fun time! so, if i don't answer the phone or emails, you'll know i (i mean, WE) have our hands full. no, really, i'm looking forward to seeing what it will be like with 2 boys under 2! i'm sure court will just love having another boy around for a couple of hours. i'll really get a sense of what my life will be like in 3 months when i'm really outnumbered! hopefully, i'll be able to take some pics and finally update the blog. i've been on a facebook kick lately, and just haven't done the blogging enough. i hope to get better! stay tuned. 

we are having a.............

BOY!!!!!!

we are so very excited that baby patterson number 2 will be another boy. i feel like i know what i'm doing in that department..... kinda. :) now, if we can just come up with a cute name. it took us SO long to come up with court, that i don't know what we'll do this time! :)

court found a "sack" of sacks that were in the dining room and came strolling in the office this afternoon looking like this.....

he was so proud until he tried to take it off and it was STUCK!! so, after trying to pry it off, i had to get the trusty ole scissors out and go to town. he wasn't too thrilled with that idea, but it came off pretty fast. let's just say that i will probably need to keep the scissors handy for all the things i see getting stuck on his head in my future! :)

we are moving

we just closed on our house, so for the next week or so, i will be MIA on the blog. we are having to get a new email address (yuck!) so, once i know it, i'll let ya know. as soon as we are all settled and the computer is hooked back up, i'll send pics! :)
